Gold Price Falls Again In India, July 9: 24K/100 Grams Gold Down Rs 6000 In 2-Days

Gold prices in India on Tuesday fell yet again for second consecutive day today amid expectations that US Federal Reserve could slash interest rates in September. The decline today is sharper in gold prices than yesterday. 22k yellow metal prices today declined by Rs 350 to Rs 67,100/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat gold prices today slipped by Rs 3500 to Rs 6,71,000. Meanwhile, 24k yellow metal prices today fell by 380 to Rs 73,200/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat gold prices today turned cheaper by Rs 3800 to Rs 7,32,000.

18K gold prices today dived by Rs 290 to Rs 54,900/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today fell by Rs 2900 to Rs 5,49,000.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold rallied 0.2% at $2,364.03 per ounce, as of 0112 GMT, after slipped over 1% on Monday. US gold futures firmed 0.3% to $2,369.70. Spot silver surged 0.4% to $30.90, platinum edged 1% higher to $1,006.20 and palladium gained 0.6% to $1,015.48, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today declined by Rs 500 to Rs 94,500/kg. 100 grams of silver price in India on Tuesday slipped by Rs 50 to Rs 9,500.

22k/10 Grams Gold Price Movement In Last 10-Days In India

Gold price India today declined yet again by Rs 350, fell by by Rs 200 on July 8, remained stable on July 7, witnessed sharp rise of Rs 650 on July 6, stayed steady on July 6, jumped by Rs 650 on July 4, remained unchanged on July 3, jumped by Rs 100 on July 2, stayed steady on July 1, and did not witness any change also on June 30.
According to Reuters, ""This looks like a lot of profit-taking, and the equities are strong this morning here, which kind of has a little bit of a competing factor with precious metals," said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.

"However, I believe you'll see gold higher based off the prediction that the Fed is going to be cutting rates. The Fed watch tool saw rate cuts coming in September and then another cut possibly in November and December that will be bullish for gold."
