Gold Price In India Jumps Ahead Of Bakrid 2024: Check Latest Gold Prices After Rise

Gold prices in India today recorded a jump ahead of Bakrid 2024 that will reportedly be celebrated on June 17, 2024. Meanwhile, US gold prices surged more than 1% on Friday were on track for their first weekly gain in four as signs of slowing inflation in the U.S. raised hopes of a rate cut later this year, while a stock selloff across Europe also lent support, according to Reuters.

22k gold prices today jumped by Rs 600 to Rs 66,500/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices zoomed by Rs 6000 to Rs 6,65,000 on June 15, 2024. 24K gold prices today rose by Rs 660 to Rs 72,550/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices surged by Rs 6,600 to Rs 7,25,500 on Saturday. On the other hand, 18k precious metal prices surged by Rs 490 to Rs 54,410/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat gold prices today rose by Rs 4,900 to Rs 5,44,100 in India on June 15, 2024.

According to Reuters, ""That combination of weaker equities, and some interest rate declines (in Fed funds futures pricing), are reigniting interest in gold, despite of the fact that the Federal Reserve has moved the dots at its FOMC meeting," said Bart Melek, head of commodity strategies at TD Securities.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold jumped nearly 1.3% to $2,332.55 per ounce by 1:55 p.m. ET (1755 GMT). Bullion jumped 1.8% for the week. US gold futures settled at 1.3% lower at $2,349.1. Meanwhile, spot silver jumped 1.6% to $29.46 per ounce after touching its lowest level in nearly one month in the previous session, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today jumped by Rs 500 to Rs 91,000/kg and 100 grams silver prices in India on June 15 rose by Rs 50 to Rs 9,100. Anuj Gupta, Head Commodity & Currency, HDFC Securities, gave the long-term target of Rs 1,10,000 per kg for silver with a long-term view. The analyst anticipates silver touching the mark by the end of this year.
