Gold Price India, July 2: Gold Prices Get Dearer After 2-Days Pause, Check Latest Prices

Gold prices in India today witnessed rally after remaining steady for 2 days as investors are keenly waiting for comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and jobs data for more clarity on U.S. central bank's interest rate outlook. 22k gold prices today jumped by Rs 100 to Rs 66,350/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices zoomed by Rs 1000 to Rs 6,63,500. 24K yellow metal prices today surged by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 72,380/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices rallied by Rs 1000 to Rs 7,23,800 in India on Tuesday.

18k gold prices today turned dearer by Rs 80 to Rs 54,290 and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today stood at Rs 5,42,900 after the rally by Rs 800 in India.

Traders will look for cues on rate cuts when Powell speaks later in the day. Next on their radar are ADP employment, ISM services PMI data and minutes of the Fed's last policy meeting due on Wednesday and the nonfarm payrolls report scheduled for release on Friday, according to Reuters.

Data on Monday highlighted that U.S. manufacturing contracted for a third straight month in June, while a drop in a measure of prices paid by factories for inputs to a six-month low suggested that inflation could continue to subside, added the Reuters report.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold was steady at $2,332.27 per ounce, as of 0025 GMT. US gold futures surged 0.2% to $2,342.70. Spot silver slipped 0.1% to $29.41 per ounce, platinum remained flat at $978.20 and palladium inched up 0.8% to $978.80, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today surged by Rs 800 to Rs 91,000/kg and 100 grams of silver prices today rallied by Rs 80 to Rs 9100.
