Gold Prices Fall In India, Aug 27: Check Latest Yellow Metal Prices After Decline, Silver Jumps

Gold price in India today witnessed marginal decline amid slight recovery in dollar. However, losses were capped as investors remain optimistic of US rate cuts and continued concerns pertaining to Middle East crisis. 22k gold prices today stood at Rs 66,940/10 grams after fall of Rs 10 and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today slipped by Rs 100 to Rs 6,69,400 in India on Tuesday. 24k gold prices today fell by Rs 10 to Rs 73,030/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices dipped by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 7,30,300.

18k gold prices today dived by Rs 10 to Rs 54,770/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today stood at Rs 5,47,700 after dip of Rs 100.

1 gram gold rate today for 22k precious metal stood at Rs 6694 after fall of Re 1 and 1 gram gold price today for 24k declined by Re 1 to Rs 7303.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold slipped 0.4% to $2,507.96 per ounce, as of 0238 GMT. Prices rallied over 21.5% this year, touching a record high of $2,531.60 on Aug. 20. U.S. gold futures fell 0.5% to $2,543.20. spot silver gained 0.1% to $29.93 per ounce, platinum declined 0.5% to $957.55 and palladium surged 0.1% to $959.90, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver price in India today witnessed rally. 1kg silver prices on August 27 surged by Rs 600 to Rs 88,500. 100 grams silver price today in India jumped by Rs 60 to Rs 8,850.

According to Reuters, "A September U.S. rate cut has been set in stone, but the debate revolving around its size may prompt a wait-and-see mode as investors look forward to upcoming economic data to anchor their views, said IG market strategist Yeap Jun Rong.

Traders see a 70% chance of a 25-basis-point (bp) rate cut and about 30% probability of a bigger 50-bp reduction, according to the CME FedWatch tool.
