Gold Prices Fall In India, June 14: Check Latest Yellow Metal Prices After Fresh Decline

Gold prices in India today witnessed decline after cooler-than-expected U.S. producer price data with analysts attributing the price fall to profit-taking. 22k gold prices today declined by Rs 250 to Rs 65,900/10 grams while 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices fell by Rs 2500 to Rs 6,59,000 on June 14, 2024. 24K gold prices today slipped by Rs 270 to Rs 71,890 and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices dived by Rs 2700 to Rs 7,18,900 on Friday. Meanwhile, 18k gold prices today in India declined by Rs 200 to Rs 53,920 and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today fell by Rs 2000 to Rs 5,39,200 in the country.

Earlier, US Fed held rates steady on Wednesday and projected only one rate cut in 2024 despite some progress in inflation, as growth and unemployment lodged at levels better than the U.S. central bank considers sustainable in the long run, according to Reuters.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold fell more than 1% at $2,299.61 per ounce as of 1659 GMT. U.S. gold futures slipped 1.7% to $2,315.40. Elsewhere, spot silver declined 2.8% to $28.88 per ounce, platinum slipped 1.3% at $951.30, and palladium fell 2.1% to $887.50, according to Reuters.

Reuters added, "Gold's inability to hold rallies on bullish data this week suggests widespread profit-taking," said Tai Wong, a New York-based independent metals trader.

"Chinese buying interest may resume at lower levels but it's unclear where but, according to the calendar, they haven't bought above $2300," Wong added.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 90,500/kg and 100 grams silver prices in India on June 14 fell by Rs 20 to Rs 9,050.
