Gold Prices Fall Post Diwali, Nov 2: 18K, 22K, 24K Gold Declines For 2nd Day, Check Latest Prices

Gold prices in India today declined for second consecutive day as weak economic data from US pushed analysts to increase bets for a rate cut from Federal Reserve. 22k gold prices today declined by Rs 150 to Rs 73,700/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat precious metal prices fell by Rs 1500 to Rs 7,37,000 in India on November 2, 2024. 24k gold prices today slipped by Rs 160 to Rs 80,400 and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices today plummeted by Rs 1600 to Rs 8,04,000 on Saturday. 18k gold price today dived by Rs 120 to Rs 60,300/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today dropped by Rs 1200 to Rs 6,03,000.

1 gram gold rate today for 22k edged down by Rs 15 to Rs 7,370 and 1 gram gold rate today for 24k lost shine by Rs 16 to Rs 8040. 1 gram gold price today for 18 carat gold dipped by 12 to Rs 6030.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver price in India today stayed flat. 1 kg silver prices today in India stood at Rs 97,000. 100 grams silver prices are retailing at Rs 9,700 as prices remained unchanged today.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold declined 0.2% to $2,736.28 per ounce by 1:55 p.m. ET (1755 GMT). Prices dipped 1.5% on Thursday as some traders took profit after bullion touched a record high of $2,790.15. spot silver fell 0.7% to $32.42 per ounce. Platinum jumped 0.3% to $990.45, while palladium shed 0.4% to $1,101.25, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, Economists see a 100% chance of a 25-basis-point cut by the Fed next week, versus a 91% chance before the jobs data.

"There's too much risk on the table ahead of the U.S. election and also with talks of an Iranian retaliatory strike on Israel, and the terrible jobs report should bring a rate cut here by the Fed," said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
