Gold Prices India, July 24: Check Latest Gold Price After Steep Fall, Silver Dips Further

Gold price in India today remained steady after witnessing sharp decline on July 23 soon after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a cut in customs duty on gold and silver to 6%. Meanwhile, US gold prices inched higher on Wednesday as traders are looking forward to US economic data that may exert influence on Federal Reserve's rate cut timeline. 22k gold price today in India stood at Rs 64,950/10 gram while 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices will cost Rs 6,49,500 on July 24.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24k gold prices today remained steady at Rs 70,860 and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices on July 24 remained stable at Rs 7,08,600. 18K gold prices today in India did not witness any changes with 10 grams prices stood at Rs 53,140 and 100 grams of 18 carat precious metal prices today retailing at Rs 5,31,400.

Spot gold likely to break resistance at $2,417 and bounce further to $2,432, according to Reuters technical analyst Wang Tao. Spot silver rallied 0.2% to $29.28 per ounce.

According to Reuters, Investors expect key U.S. data releases this week, including the second-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) reading on Thursday and the June personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index number on Friday, to offer more cues about the rate-cut timeline."

The Fed will cut interest rates just twice this year, in September and December, as resilient U.S. consumer demand warrants a cautious approach despite easing inflation, according to a growing majority of economists in a Reuters poll.
