Gold Prices India, June 10: After Record Drop On June 8, Check Latest Gold Prices

Gold prices in India remained unchanged on June 10, 2024 amid stronger-than-expected US jobs data that doused expectations for an early interest rate cut by US Federal Reserve this year. 22k gold price in India today are quoting at Rs 65,700/10 grams while 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices are retailing at Rs 6,57,000 in the country. 24K yellow metal prices today remained unchanged at Rs 71,670/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat gold prices remained steadied at Rs 7,16,700. 18 carat gold prices in India today also remained unchanged at Rs 53,760/10 grams and 100 grams of 18k gold prices today in India stood at Rs 5,37,600.

Earlier on June 8, gold prices witnessed sharp fall after reports emerged that China's central bank halted gold buying in May when spot gold prices touched a record high after 18 months of continuous buying. 22k gold prices slipped by Rs 1900 to Rs 65,700/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today slipped by Rs 19,000 in India on June 8, 2024.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold surged 0.2% at $2,396.69 per ounce, as of 0146 GMT. US gold futures slipped 0.5% to $2,313.60. Spot silver surged 1% to $29.48 per ounce, platinum was up about 1% at $973.20 and palladium gained 1.1% to $922.19, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, "The medium-term bullish trend that was in picture since last week or so has now a chance of being damaged from a technical perspective," said Kelvin Wong, a senior market analyst for Asia Pacific at OANDA.
"Unless the dot plot pricing starts to be very less dovish, that means the Fed does not expect any cut being pencilled in this year at all, you could drastically see a tremendous sell-off in gold because that could push U.S. 10-year Treasury yields higher," Wong said.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices jumped marginally in India today by Rs 200 to Rs 91,700/1kg. Earlier, there was sharp fall in silver prices on June 8 when prices declined sharply by Rs 4,500 to Rs 91,500/kg. Today 100 grams of silver prices surged by Rs 20 to Rs 9170.
