Gold Prices Rally In India, Aug 21: 24K/100 Grams Yellow Metal Jumps By Rs 5500, Silver Steady

Gold price in India today surged after registering mild decline yesterday amid uncertainty prevailing over the upcoming US Presidential elections and soaring traders' hope that US Federal Reserve may slash interest rates in upcoming September meeting. 22k gold prices today jumped by Rs 500 to Rs 67,100/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today zoomed by Rs 5000 to Rs 6,71,000. 24K gold prices today surged by Rs 550 to Rs 73,200/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices today soared by Rs 5500 to Rs 7,32,000.

Meanwhile, 18k gold prices today rallied by Rs 410 to Rs 54,900/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat precious metal prices today gained by Rs 4,100 to Rs 5,49,000 in India on Wednesday.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold stayed steady at $2,514.79 per ounce, as of 0105 GMT, trading below an all-time high of $2,531.60 scaled on Tuesday. Spot silver gained 0.1% to $29.45 per ounce, platinum rose 0.5% to $950.80 and palladium gained 0.2% at $927.65, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver price in India today remained stable. 1kg silver prices today stood at Rs 87,000. 100 grams silver price today in India remained steady at Rs 8700.

Swiss July gold exports jumped to highest level since April as increased supplies to India and Britain offset decreased shipments to China, customs data from the world's biggest bullion refining and transit hub indicated.

As per the Reuters report, "The primary drivers of the gold price move are financial investment demand, particularly with ETF buying improving and overall improved sentiment as the expectations of Fed easing cycle to begin in September," said Aakash Doshi, head of commodities, North America at Citi Research.
