Gold Prices Rise In India For 2nd Day, Aug 10: 24K/100 Grams Yellow Metal Surges By Rs 10,400

Gold prices in India continue to rise for 2nd consecutive day on Saturday as investors appear confident that the US Federal Reserve would slash interest rates in September. 22k gold prices today surged by Rs 200 to Rs 64,450/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today rose by Rs 2000 to Rs 6,44,500 on August 10, 2024. 24K gold price today rallied by Rs 220 to Rs 70,310/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices today rose by Rs 2200 to Rs 7,03,100.

18k gold prices today gained by Rs 160 to Rs 52,730/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices jumped by Rs 1600 to Rs 5,27,300.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold fell 0.2% at $2,421.31 per ounce, as of 0402 GMT, after soaring over 1% on Thursday. Spot silver rallied 0.3% at $27.66 per ounce and platinum jumped 0.7% to $937.65. Gold and silver prices were poised for weekly losses, according to Reuters.

As per the Reuters report, "Fundamentally speaking, gold is poised to benefit from either increased risk aversion or from expectations of looser monetary conditions. There are multiple scenarios, which could play out in coming months, which could drive the gold price to fresh all-time highs," said Tim Waterer, chief market analyst, KCM Trade.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver price in India today rallied again for second day in a row. 1kg silver prices today jumped by Rs 100 to Rs 83,100. And, 100 grams silver price today jumped by Rs 10 to Rs 8,310.

"Price activity for gold has been relatively steady today with investors taking a breather after a roller-coaster week," Tim Waterer added.
