Gold prices in India today retreated finally from record high level. 24k gold prices in India today declined by Rs 770 to Rs 80,560/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices today slipped by Rs 7,700 to Rs 8,05,600. 22k gold prices today fell by Rs 700 to Rs 73,850/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat precious metal prices today slipped by Rs 7000 to Rs 7,38,500. 18k gold prices today edged lower by Rs 580 to Rs 60,420/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat precious metal prices today fell by Rs 5,800 to Rs 6,04,200 in India on November 1, 2024. Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today

Spot gold jumped 0.4% to $2,753.75 per ounce, as of 0540 GMT and up 0.2% for the week so far. U.S. gold futures jumped 0.5% to $2,763.60. spot silver rallied 0.3% to $32.75 per ounce and platinum remained steady at $988.08. Both metals were on track of weekly rise, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, "Investors are still in the mindset of buying the dips and that strategy is still going to hold through the (U.S.) election, and maybe after that because there is going to be a lot of turmoil," said Marex analyst Edward Meir. Gold prices gained more than 4% in October amid safe-haven flows spurred by the Middle East tensions and U.S. election uncertainty.

"With no signs of recession and inflation declining, the economy looks positive... the key now is how quickly the Fed will lower rates," Meir said.
