Gold Rates & Silver Rates Today (13-10-2026) LIVE: MCX Gold & Silver Price Mildly Up As Focus Shifts To US CPI

Gold rates and silver rates in India are trading cautiously on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. MCX gold price is near Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams mark, while MCX silver price is near Rs 2.23 lakh per 1Kg mark. The performance tracks cautious trend in the global bullion market.

Spot gold dropped to struggle around $4,150 per ounce, while spot silver slipped to hold below $61 per ounce. This is because of US dollar that touched 18-months high as investors await upcoming CPI inflation data.

Precious metals stayed under pressure as crude oil prices breached pivotal elevated levels. US WTI crude oil futures is currently above $92 per barrel, while Brent Crude futures breached over $105 per barrel. On Tuesday, oil prices dropped by more than 1%.

The US dollar rose to 102.5 level, which is its highest since April 2025. The greenback got further support from safe-haven demand amid rising geopolitical tensions, as the US is considering assisting Saudi Arabia in its fight against Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen, while the recently announced Russia-Ukraine "energy ceasefire" has already been violated.

The US consumer price index is due on Wednesday, followed by producer inflation data on Thursday. Markets are pricing in roughly an 80% probability that the Fed will leave interest rates unchanged this month while assigning nearly an 88% chance of a rate hike in December. Investors also monitored geopolitical tensions as the US considers joining Saudi Arabia in its campaign against Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen, while the recently announced Russia-Ukraine "energy ceasefire" has already been violated. These developments have kept oil prices elevated, fueling inflation concerns and increasing expectations of further interest rate hikes, as per Trading Economics.
