Gold Rates Today (17-08-2026) Rises At Tanishq, IBJA, Malabar, Kalyan, Joyalukkas; 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices

Gold rates in India today are broadly rising due to the uptrend witnessed in the global bullion market. The reason is the decline in the US dollar for the third session in a row and the softening in US economic data that stirred appetite for non-yielding assets like gold and silver. On August 17, 2026, 10-gram gold price is just a couple of rupees away from touching Rs 1.56 lakh in 24 carat, near Rs 1.43 lakh in 22 carat and around Rs 1.17 lakh mark in 18 carat. In India, gold prices climbed by Rs 4,100 to Rs 5,300 in 100 grams across carats. Accordingly, a significant upside revision is seen on Monday in gold prices at top jewelers like IBJA, Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold and Joyalukkas.

Gold Rates In India Today

24 carat gold price jumped by Rs 5,300 in 100 grams to Rs 15,56,600 and rose by Rs 530 to Rs 1,55,660 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, 22 carat gold climbed by Rs 5,000 to Rs 14.27 lakh per 100 grams and is higher by Rs 500 in 10 grams to Rs 1,42,700. Furthermore, the 18 carat gold price advanced by Rs 4,100 to Rs 11,67,600 per 100 grams and surged by RS 410 to Rs 1,16,760.

The reason why appetite for gold rises is the softer-than-expected US inflation. As per Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities, US CPI came in at 3.4% versus 3.5% expected, improving sentiment towards bullion and supporting expectations of a more accommodative Fed stance.

The broader trend remains positive, however, the analyst also believes that volatility and profit booking may continue at higher levels.

Here are the gold rates at top jewelers. However, stay tuned for any price revisions in the day.
