HDFC Bank Shares Jump On Q3 Updates
Shares of HDFC Bank gained as much as 2.5 percent to Rs 1,271.45 on its December-ended quarter updates.
On Monday, the country's leading private lender gave a business update to its investors.
In a stock exchange filing, it said that its advances aggregated to approximately Rs 9,340 billion as of 31 December 2019, a growth of around 20 percent as compared to Rs 7,810 billion as of 31 December 2018. The advances stood at Rs 8,970 billion as of 30 September 2019.
HDFC Bank's deposits aggregated to approximately Rs 10,675 billion as of the end of the December quarter, a growth of around 25 percent when compared to Rs 8,525 billion as of 31 December 2018. It stood at Rs 10,216 billion as of 30 September 2019.
The Bank's CASA ratio stood at around 39.5 percent as of 31 December 2019, as compared to 40.7 percent a year ago and 39.3 percent at the end of the previous quarter.
In the October-December period, the private bank purchased loans aggregating Rs 42.58 billion through the direct assignment route under the home loan arrangement with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC).
