India-Pakistan Tension: Due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, 32 airports will remain closed for civil flights until until 5.29 AM on May 15. India-Pakistan War Live Updates: Security Measures at Airports

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has instructed all airlines and airports nationwide to enhance security measures. All passengers must undergo Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC). Visitor entry into terminal buildings is banned. Air Marshal deployment will be adjusted accordingly.

In light of these enhanced security measures across all airports in India, airlines have advised passengers to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure time. This ensures smooth check-in and boarding processes amidst increased security checks.

No Visitor Access at Airports

The BCAS has implemented new regulations prohibiting visitors from entering airport terminal buildings. Visitor entry tickets are no longer sold. Additional requirements include ensuring all CCTV systems are operational and deploying in-flight security personnel based on priority.

Impact on Indian Flight Operations

A significant number of flights by airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Akasa Air have been cancelled or rescheduled. Passengers are suggested to verify flight status before heading to the airport. Delhi airport continues regular operations but saw cancellations of 138 flights on Friday alone.
