Indices Start On A Weak Note; Asia Mixed

After record gains in the US Nasdaq index, Indian indices in line with their Asian peers started weak with loss of 150 points on the Sensex, while Nifty was at 14852.

Oil prices moved higher, there were gains seen in the 20-year bonds as well as the US dollar maintained losses.

Among Nifty sectoral indices, all barring financial, media and banking pack are trading in the green.

Infosys has entered into a long term collaboration with Arcleor Mittal for digital transformation. The IT company would enable the company in augmenting its digital transformation drive and even help in application management and business process management services for the latter's Europe division.

On the development, the stock of Infosys hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs. 1455 on the NSE.

Novelis has shown its commitment to become a net carbon neutral company by the year 2050. Further it has decided to reduce its carbon footprint by 30 percent.

Meanwhile, Asian markets at the time of writing this report have been trading mixed, with Nikkei up 0.37 percent, while Hang Seng and Straits Times, Kospi are all trading in the red.
