Vodafone Idea Cracks On Critical Situation Of Telecom Major

Shares of Vodafone Idea fell as much as 7.5% in early trade on Wednesday to day's low of Rs. 3.70 on the BSE. As per a Blooomberg report which cited the company's CEO Nick Read, the company can be in for a liquidation process provided the Centre does not go easy on its demands pertaining to mobile spectrum fees.

In a CNBC TV 18 report, the top executive of the company said that the company's operations in India are in a state of doubt unless the government stopped hitting operators with charges and higher taxes. Already, the company received a blow with a net loss in the first half of 1.9 billion euro after the court's judgement per se license fee.

The stock of Vodafone Idea last quoted at Rs. 3.89, with a decline of 2.75% or Rs. 0.11 on the BSE.
