How to book train ticket using Paytm?

• Login to Paytm app or go to www.paytm.com
• Select Train from the drop down list.
• Select From and To stations.
• Select Departure Date.
• Click on Search Trains and you will have your results as per the Train running schedule by IRCTC (Enter Paytm login Details if you are already logged-in).
• Select the Train from the list and make the selection as per Seat availability and requirement.
• Proceed to the booking for the respective date for travel.
• Enter IRCTC ID and click on proceed or Create Account for IRCTC.
• Choose boarding point, add passenger details and choose preferences(if required).
• Click on "Proceed to Book".
• Review the itinerary. If you have any promo code, enter it now and click Proceed to Pay.

Pay through Paytm in IRCTC site

Once you've logged in on the IRCTC website, you can now pay there by using your Paytm Wallet. The Paytm Wallet option is visible under cash card/wallet option once you buy your train ticket.

How many tickets you can book by Paytm?

You can book tickets for a maximum of six people under a single booking. For tatkal booking, you can book only up to four tickets. This number includes children and senior citizens traveling together. Additionally, two children below 5 yrs are allowed but not ticketed. You need to specify the details for these travelers as well.

How to cancel tickets booked using Paytm?

For train starting up to 12 noon, the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night. For canceling the tickets booked follow the below steps;

• Log on to Paytm account.Go to Profile/Your Orders and locate the booking.
• Select the passenger name whose ticket is to be canceled
• Click "Cancel" button. Please note that by clicking on cancel booking, will directly cancel the ticket.
• Cancellation would be confirmed online and the refund would be credited back to the source account.

Terms and conditions

As of now, IRCTC disables all card/wallet options including IRCTC prepaid cards from 8 am to 12 noon. Users can book your tickets on the site with your Paytm Wallet after 12 pm.

If you don't have money in the wallet

In the case of insufficient balance, you would need to add money first on your Paytm account (the app on your mobile or on the web) and then proceed with the transaction on IRCTC.

What if you miss the train ?

E-ticket cannot be canceled after chart preparation. You can only file TDR request online and track the refund request. To find TDR request, you need to login to your IRCTC account and go to My Transactions.
You can file TDR request in case you miss your train. TDR can be filed by mailing on "[email protected]". You are requested to with complete ticket details(PNR No., Train No. and Name).
