  • Download your E-Aadhaar and only use Adobe Reader to open the pdf.
  • Right-click on the 'unknown validity' icon and select 'Validate Signature.'
  • When the signature validation status window appears, click on 'Signature Properties.'
  • Click the 'Show Signer's Certificate' button.
  • Check for a certification with the name '(n)Code Solutions CA 2014'.
  • Click 'Export' on the Summary page (tab).
  • To save the certificate in your local system (Desktop/Laptop), click 'Next.'
  • Then click 'Next' and then 'Finish.'
  • Click the 'Trust' tab, then the 'Add to trusted certificate' button. Then, under 'Certified documents,' select all three options and click 'Ok.'
  • Close the window by clicking 'Validate Signature' once more.
  • When you open any subsequent CCA documents with digital signatures, they will be validated automatically.
  • If the certificate validity is found to be expired on the machine, you must download the E-Aadhaar again and re-validate the signature using the procedure outlined above, and then add the newly downloaded certificate to the 'Trusted Certificate' category on the local machine to add a valid/current digital certificate.
  • The invalid digital signature on the downloaded e-Aadhaar can also be validated on a machine other than the one from which it was downloaded, i.e. a laptop or a desktop computer. However, in order for this document to be validated, the digital certificate must be downloaded and validated on the alternate machine using the procedure outlined above.
