Apple Launches iPad Air With M4 Chip: Check India Price List, Pre-Orders From March 4

Apple has introduced the new iPad Air, powered by the latest M4 chip, offering more memory at an affordable starting price. The tech giant stated that the new model delivers a noticeable boost in performance, especially for tasks like video editing, gaming and multitasking.

Thanks to a faster CPU and GPU, the iPad Air now handles demanding apps more smoothly. It is also better suited for artificial intelligence (AI) features, as it comes with a more powerful Neural Engine, improved memory speed and 50 per cent more unified memory compared to the previous version.

The powerful M4 chip includes a 9-core GPU that supports advanced graphics technologies such as hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing, providing better lighting, reflections and shadows in games and 3D apps. Apple claims that the new iPad Air delivers more than four times faster 3D rendering performance compared to the iPad Air with the M1 chip, making visuals look more realistic.

The device also features Apple's latest connectivity chips, N1 and C1X, which improve wireless and cellular performance. It supports Wi-Fi 7 for faster internet speeds. The N1 chip enhances performance on 5GHz Wi-Fi networks and improves features like Personal Hotspot and AirDrop, making file sharing and connectivity more reliable.

For those who prefer typing, the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air offers a comfortable typing experience. It includes a built-in trackpad for precise tasks such as selecting text and a 14-key function row for quick access to controls like brightness and volume.

The iPad Air with M4 will be available for pre-order starting March 4, with sales beginning March 11. It comes in four colours - Blue, Purple, Starlight and Space Grey.
