The deadline for registering for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) has been extended by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Through its Twitter handle EPFO has said that "Registration facility under #ABRY has been extended till 31.03.2022."

The benefit under this scheme will be granted for the wage months in which he or she is employed in any recognized establishment, up to a maximum of 2 years from the date of new employee registration. If an eligible new employee's monthly pay surpasses 14999/- at any point throughout the scheme's duration, he or she will be unsuitable for the scheme benefits. The Central Government will provide a subsidy for twenty-four wage months in respect of eligible new employees of establishments employing up to and including 1000 employees, the employer's and employee's share of contribution as per legislated prevailing rate to the establishment, up to a maximum of 24 percent of wages.
Even if the number of contributing EPF members with UAN reaches 1000 throughout the scheme period, these corporations will continue to receive employer share subsidies. Employees' share of contribution as per the legislative rate applicable to establishments, subject to a maximum of 12 percent of wages, the government will offer subsidies in respect of eligible new employees at the specified level for establishments employing more than 1000 employees. Every EPFO-registered organization and its new employees (earning less than Rs. 15,000/- per month) are eligible for ABRY benefits if the establishments are registered with EPFO on or after October 1, 2020.
The duration of the plan, i.e. the last day for registering new employees under the scheme, has been extended from 30 June 2021 to 31 March 2022, according to the Ministry of Labour & Employment, with the permission of CCEA in its meeting on 30 June 2021. During the scheme's duration, around 71.8 lakh employees are expected to benefit. Members who signed up for the scheme before March 31, 2022 will continue to receive benefits for two years from the date of enrollment.
