This acknowledgment for the second consecutive year underscores HCLTech's dedication to integrating sustainability into its core operations while assisting clients in advancing their sustainability goals through technology.

S&P Global meticulously evaluated 9,400 companies spanning 62 industries worldwide, ultimately selecting 759 companies, including HCLTech, for inclusion in the 2024 Sustainability Yearbook. HCLTech's sustainability initiatives are guided by its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy, which emphasizes acting responsibly, fostering partnerships, and driving meaningful impact. The company has pledged to curtail greenhouse gas emissions and align with the 1.5ºC pathway by 2030, with the ambitious aim of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. Furthermore, HCLTech aims to transition 80% of its electricity consumption to renewable sources by 2030.

In the fiscal year 2023, HCLTech surpassed expectations by replenishing 26 times more water than it consumed across its Indian operations. Notably, it became the first India-based company to join the Water Resilience Coalition and endorse the CEO Water Mandate, reaffirming its commitment to water stewardship.

Beyond its Indian operations, HCLTech is making significant contributions to communities worldwide through grants, partnerships, and employee volunteering. The HCLTech Grant Americas initiative, for instance, has committed $5 million over five years to NGOs combating climate change and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity.

Through its HCL Foundation programs, the company has positively impacted 5.5 million lives in India, with over half being women, and supported 12,000 individuals with disabilities. These efforts underscore HCLTech's commitment to driving social equity and inclusivity.

HCL Technologies, with a workforce of over 224,000 employees across 60 countries, offers industry-leading digital, engineering, cloud, AI, and software solutions. Its diverse portfolio of technology services and products caters to clients across various sectors, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Technology, Telecom, Media, Retail, CPG, and Public Services.

The company's consolidated revenues for the 12 months ending December 2023 amounted to $13.1 billion, reflecting its robust performance and market leadership in the technology sector.

As sustainability continues to gain prominence on the global agenda, HCLTech's unwavering commitment to sustainability-driven innovation positions it as a frontrunner in the industry. By leveraging its expertise and resources, HCLTech aims to drive positive change while delivering value to its stakeholders and society at large.

HCL Technologies' inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for the second consecutive year reaffirms its status as a sustainability champion and exemplar of responsible corporate citizenship in the technology sector.
