National Pension Scheme or NPS is a widely accepted saving scheme in India now. It is a government supported voluntary, defined contribution retirement savings scheme which enables the subscriber to accumulate savings during his or her working life. In NPS an individual can open two types of accounts, they are Tier I and Tier II.

You can not withdraw Tier 1 account till the person reaches the age of 60. Partial withdrawal can be done in specific cases. In Tier II National Pension Scheme account subscribers can withdraw the money freely whenever they need money.

  • Log in to your NPS account through the CRA website (http://www.cra-nsdl.com).
  • Enter your credentials such as the user id and password.
