Shares which were included for trading in the F&O segment with effect from today (Sept 28) have rallied in trade.
Cadila Healthcare touched a new 52-week high and was up 3 per cent, while other notable gainers were NCC, Marico and TV 18.
BEML and Bharti Infratel the other inclusions in the F&O segment lost marginal ground in trade. Earlier last week the National Stock Exchange had said that it had included six companies in the F&O list including Bhart Infratel, Marico Industries, TV 18, NCC, Cadila Healthcare and BEML.
The inclusion in the F&O segment is generally perceived as boosting investor confidence, though fundamentally nothing much may change.
