Karnataka Power Cut On September 7: BESCOM Announces 9-Hour-Long Power Outages; Full List Of Areas Affected

Bengaluru Power Cut: The citizens of Karnataka continue to reel with power supply disruption as BESCOM has declared prolonged 16-hour-long maintenance work in many areas from September 5th to September 15th. On September 7th, BESCOM has declared a 9-hour-long power cut.

No Electricity In Bengaluru?

Citizens have continued to complain about power disruption even in the early hours of September 7, 2025. Power supply was scarce on September 6, due to maintenance. The situation is likely to continue even on Sunday.

Karnataka Power Cut On September 7, 2025:

As per the latest post by BESCOM, it will carry out expansion work on the Shivamogga-Gadag State Highway, and accordingly, some villages in Honnali taluk and the town will be relocated along the roadside.

The power supply will be suspended from 10AM to 6PM, signalling a nearly 9-hour power outage.

Also, to supply 7 hours of electricity per day to agricultural irrigation pump sets, the day shift service will be temporarily changed due to the emergency work and electricity will be supplied for 7 hours in the early morning for the respective day.

Bengaluru Power Cut Till September 15:

BESCOM has confirmed that it will carry out maintenance work from September 5th to September 15th, starting from 6 AM to 10 PM.

Bengaluru Power Cut On September 6

Due to maintenance work on September 6 at the 66/11kV Banaswadi Power Transformer-3, power supply in Bengaluru will be disturbed from 6 AM to 10 PM on Saturday. BESCOM has directed citizens to plan their day accordingly.

Areas where power outage emerged on September 6th are --- 7th A and 9th Main, HRBR Layout, HRBR Layout 2nd Block, TNS Layout, Rajkumar Park, Kullappa Circle, Banjara Layout, Banjara Arcade, Trinity Enclave, RKBR Enclave, Agara Lake, Manjunath Nagar, Andhra Colony, parts of Punyabhumi Layout, Riches Garden, MR Riches Garden, West Riches Garden, Karekal Gudda, NRI Layout Phase 1 & Dodda Gubbi, Bilishivale, and surrounding regions.
