Gas Cylinder E-KYC Deadline Today, Sept 30, 2026: How To Do Aadhaar Biometric For Indane, HP & Bharat Gas?

The LPG gas cylinder e-KYC deadline for Indane Gas, HP Gas and Bharat Gas is ending on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. If this deadline is missed, both PMUY and non-PMUY LPG users could face disruption in LPG services until the process is completed. The Oil Ministry has made LPG biometric Aadhaar authentication mandatory with effect from October 1, 2026.

LPG Gas Cylinder E-KYC Deadline Ends Today, September 30, 2026

As per reports, the final call to complete your e-KYC verification is set on September 30, 2026. This is aligned with the ministry's new rule where it has made LPG biometric Aadhaar authentication mandatory from next month.

Among key reasons to make e-KYC mandatory is to ensure genuine and eligible customers are receiving subsidized LPG benefits and to tackle diversion of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial and industrial usage.

The September 30th is among many deadlines that the ministry has given to LPG users to complete the biometric process.

The LPG customers were first asked to complete their e-KYC by June 30, 2026. Then the government fixed the deadline several times to give consumers time to complete their e-KYC. Before September 30th, the deadline was September 14, 2026. Prior to this, the deadline was September 7, August 31, August 23, August 15, August 7, and July 31.

As per the ministry said, since October 2023, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have run a nationwide outreach drive. More than 12 crore SMS and WhatsApp messages have been sent. Distributors and delivery staff have followed up individually with consumers yet to authenticate. Special camps have been held at distributorships, high-footfall locations, and in rural areas. IVRS prompts during refill booking, mobile notifications, and campaigns on social media, in newspapers, and through other channels have also been used.

What Happens If You Missed E-KYC Deadline?

According to reports, those who failed to complete their e-KYC on September 30, will have to pay commercial rates for their domestic LPG cylinders.

Here's what it means: Domestic LPG Prices In India: Currently, 14.2 Kg domestic LPG cylinders are priced at Rs 942 in Delhi, at Rs 941.50 in Mumbai, at Rs 968 in Kolkata and at Rs 957.50 in Chennai.

Commercial LPG Prices In India: The 19 Kg LPG cylinders are priced at Rs 2,747.50 in Delhi, at Rs 2,701 in Mumbai, at Rs 2,884 in Kolkata and at Rs 2,916.50 in Chennai.

So if LPG customers fail to complete their e-KYC, they might pay Rs 1,805.5 more on their domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi (Rs 2,747.50 commercial rate - Rs 942 domestic rate). The same impact will likely be felt in other cities as well.

Apart from this, PMUY customers who failed to complete their e-KYC may not be able to book refills of any LPG cylinders until and unless the process is completed.

From October 1, 2026, Indian Oil, BPCL, and HPCL will likely halt LPG subsidy benefits of customers who have not completed their biometric authentication (BAA) immediately until they complete the e-KYC process.

Under the new rule, consumers who have not completed BAA, refill booking at RSP with subsidy will be enabled once authentication is completed.

To put in perspective, domestic LPG is sold below cost. According to the ministry, the implicit subsidy for September 2026 is around Rs 210 per 14.2 kg cylinder; in June 2026 it reached Rs 721 per cylinder.

How To Complete E-KYC Of Indane Gas, HP Gas, Bharat Gas?

1. During refill delivery: The delivery person can complete authentication on the spot using the OMC mobile application.

2. At the distributor's showroom: consumers can visit their LPG distributor and complete authentication there.

3. On OMC mobile apps: consumers can complete the process themselves from home using.

4. IndianOil ONE for Indane customers

Step	How to Complete eKYC
1	Download the IndianOil One App or AadhaarFaceRD App to complete eKYC from home.
2	Open the IndianOil One app and sign up using your registered mobile number and email address.
3	Link your 16-digit LPG ID, available on your cash memo or subscription voucher. Your consumer details will appear.
4	Go to the home screen and tap on 'My Profile'.
5	Check your LPG details under My Profile and tap on 're-KYC'.
6	Read the instructions and conditions carefully and provide your consent.
7	Tick the box under the Face Authentication Advisories page, then click 'Face Scan' and complete the Aadhaar biometric verification.

5. HelloBPCL for Bharatgas customers

1	Download the Hello BPCL App.
2	Open the app and register yourself.
3	On the homepage, tap on the 'e-KYC' option.
4	Enter the six-digit OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
5	Read the terms and conditions and provide your consent.
6	Click 'Proceed' to complete the eKYC process

6. HP PAY for HP Gas customers

Step	How to Complete eKYC
1	Download the HP Pay App for eKYC and other LPG services. You can also use the Aadhaar FaceRD App.
2	Open the HP Pay app, tap 'Register' and enter the mobile number linked to your HP Gas account.
3	Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number for verification.
4	Set up a 4-digit MPIN for easy access in the future.
5	Log in using your MPIN and allow location access.
6	Go to the 'MY HP' section and tap on 'LPG'.
7	Tap on 'e-KYC'. You will be taken to the terms and conditions page.
8	Read the terms, provide your consent and click 'Capture Face'.
9	The Aadhaar FaceRD app will open. Allow it to scan your face, follow the on-screen instructions and complete your eKYC.
