When do the Petrol Prices are revised in Andhra Pradesh?

The petrol prices in Andhra Pradesh are revised on a daily basis starting at 6 am in the morning. The country started using the dynamic fuel pricing technique on June 16, 2017. Under this pricing system, the fuel rates will be fixed in the domestic market in sync with the fluctuating fuel prices in the global market added with the dollar-rupee currency exchange rate. The oil marketing companies decided to adopt this system to fix the fuel rates mainly to get the benefits out of the regular revision of fuel prices apart from ensuring transparency and encouraging automation drive of petrol outlets in the country.

To help consumers to keep track of the changing fuel prices, oil marketing companies have introduced a mobile application to help the customers to get the latest price. The revised petrol rates will be updated on the company's website regularly and will be exhibited across all the fuel-filling stations in the country. A text message about price change will be sent in a prescribed format to the registered mobile users who can keep a track of the changing fuel prices. Last but not least, the oil marketing companies also provide customer care services to their esteemed customers wherein interested customers can know about the petrol rates.

Petroleum Refining Process

Petrol is a naturally occurring substance.

It is a dark liquid. The extracted liquid from beneath the earth’s surface cannot be used directly in vehicles and needs treatment (refining process) to separate many sub-products like lubricating oil, petrol, diesel, and so on. The refining process of petrol is done through an industrial process. Here, the crude oil which is extracted from the underground will be transformed and refined into useful products like jet fuel, kerosene, Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), asphalt base, heating oil, gasoline, fuel oils and so on.

Crude oil mainly consists of hydrocarbon molecules. The Petroleum Refining Process consists of three steps namely – Separation, Conversion and Treatment.
