Another major electricity disruption will be seen in multiple areas of Bengaluru today as The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced a scheduled power cut in several parts of the city on February 21st 2026, due to annual maintenance works. The Bengaluru power cut is going to be 8 hours long and will last from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and will impact multiple localities under the S-7 subdivision.

The Bengaluru power cut announcement has been made as part of routine maintenance activities in order to improve power supply reliability and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Areas Affected by Bengaluru Power Cut today
According to BESCOM's official notice, electricity supply will be disrupted in the following areas:
Kempegowda Layout, Prashanthi Nagar, Hoysala Nagar, Laggere, Sunkadakatte, Andrahalli, Herohalli, Byadarahalli, Nagarabhavi 1st Stage, Mallathahalli, BDA Complex (Ward No. 208, 407), '2' Sector, Annapurneshwari Nagar, Ullalu, Nagarabhavi, Kengeri, BCC Layout and surrounding localities.
Additionally, the power supply will also be affected in:
Attiguppe, Basaveshwaranagar, Vijayanagar, RPC Layout, Moodalapalya, Govindarajanagar, Deepanjali Nagar, Chandra Layout, Kaveri Layout, Saraswathipuram, Kamakshipalya, Srirampura, Marenahalli, Magadi Road, Sunkadakatte Industrial Area, and Nagarabhavi 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th Blocks.
Residents and commercial establishments in these areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance during the power cut in Bengaluru today.

BESCOM clarified that the power cut today is due to annual maintenance work. Such planned power shutdowns in Bengaluru are conducted to inspect transformers, feeders, overhead lines, and other electrical infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted supply in the long run.
