Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has made a solid start at the box office, cashing in on the festive momentum of Ugadi. Released on March 19, 2026, the film entered theatres facing strong competition from Dhurandhar 2, but still managed to put up impressive numbers on its opening day.

Strong Day 1 Collection Across India
The mass-action entertainer collected an estimated Rs. 31.50 crore net in India on Day 1, as per data from trade tracker Sacnilk. It was screened across 4,607 shows nationwide, registering an average occupancy of around 69%, which is huge despite competition from Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar.
On the release day the movie saw steady footfall, with collections reaching Rs. 34.74 cr in India.
Worldwide Gross Crosses Rs. 50 Crore
On the global front, Ustaad Bhagat Singh performed equally well, with worldwide gross collections touching around Rs. 50 crore on Day 1.
A major chunk of this came from the Telugu-speaking regions, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributing approximately Rs. 32-34 crore, because of Pawan Kalyan's stronghold in his home market.
Advance Booking
The film had already been hyped before its release. Advance bookings for Day 1 saw over 4.19 lakh tickets sold, generating around Rs. 10.6 crore gross (excluding blocked seats) across India.
The pre-release business was also significant, with the film reportedly doing Rs. 132 crore worldwide, including Rs. 113 crore from Telugu states alone.
Overseas markets, particularly North America, also contributed to the film's opening surge. According to data shared by the movie's distributor, Premiere bookings for the movie were estimated between $291K and $320K, with the film releasing in around 430 locations across the US and selling over 12,800 tickets.
