Nifty Bank Hits New Record High, Climbs Above 32,000 Lead By RBL Bank

It has been an eventful day for NSE's indexes. After Nifty 50's historic opening, sectoral index Nifty Bank made new records.

The index jumped as much as 0.8 percent to its new all-time high of 32,135.90. Its previously recorded high was seen on Tuesday at 32,015.35. Analysts are bullish on banking stocks and see the sectoral index to breach 33,000 level.

Nifty Bank Hits New Record High; Above 32,000 Mark

The top gainers in Thursday session were RBL Bank (lead the gains at over 6 percent), Punjab National Bank (up by over 5 percent), Yes Bank which gained 2 percent, ICICI Bank (rose 2.3 percent), Federal Bank (gained over 1 percent) and Bank of Baroda that climbed more than 3 percent.

NSE's benchmark, Nifty 50, opened at a record high of 12,132.10 and scaled to its new all-time high of 12,144.40 in Thursday's trade.
