IndiGo has issued an important travel advisory for international passengers as the airline extended flight cancellations to multiple Iran-region destinations till March 28, 2026. Travellers flying to and from Indian airspace must take note of the latest IndiGo flight cancellation notice as services to key Central Asian and Caucasus cities remain suspended due to ongoing geopolitical developments around Iran and its airspace.

According to the latest IndiGo advisory dated February 16, flights to and from Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku and Tashkent continue to remain impacted. The airline has now extended previously announced cancellations from February 28 to March 28, 2026, citing safety concerns linked to the regional situation around Iran.
A PTI report also confirmed that IndiGo and Air India have stopped using Iranian airspace, choosing longer alternate flight routes for international operations to ensure passenger and crew safety.
Reason Behind IndiGo Flight Suspension
The IndiGo international flight cancellation decision is because of the developments in and around Iranian airspace, which has forced airlines to avoid Iranian flight corridors. Reroute long-haul aircraft through alternative airspace & Temporarily suspend select international routes
IndiGo stated that customer and crew safety remains the highest priority, and the airline is continuously monitoring the situation while adjusting schedules to minimise inconvenience for passengers.
Refund, Rescheduling and Passenger Options
Passengers affected by the IndiGo cancelled flights March 2026 advisory are expected to receive Full refund options for cancelled bookings. The airline will also provide Free rescheduling or alternate travel arrangements which is subject to availability.
