LPG Prices From August 1: 19 Kg Commercial LPG Prices Cut For 2nd Time, Falls Rs 210; City-Wise LPG Rates

LPG prices in India are cut for the second time in a row despite elevated crude oil prices, which surged nearly 20% last month. With effect from August 1, 2026, the 19 Kg commercial LPG prices are trimmed by Rs 192 to Rs 209 in major cities. However, the price of 14.2 Kg domestic LPG cylinders is kept unchanged.

Oil marketing companies lowered Indane Gas, HP Gas, and Bharat Gas prices for August even amidst renewed geopolitical risks in West Asia between the US and Iran, which has led to dual difficulty for global oil and gas supply traffic at pivotal chokepoints, the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea.

19 Kg LPG Prices From August 1, 2026:

In Delhi, the commercial LPG price dropped by Rs 192 to Rs 2,738 per cylinder with effect from August 1st, compared to the previous month's rate of Rs 2,930. Also, a Rs 192.50 cut was announced in LPG prices in Gurgaon, taking the 19 Kg cylinder to Rs 2,755.

In cities like Bengaluru, LPG prices are trimmed by Rs 200 to Rs 2,821 per cylinder, while the rates are chalked down by Rs 194.50 and Rs 197.50 in Chandigarh and Thiruvananthapuram to Rs 2,760 and Rs 2,774 per cylinder.

Although the LPG price was lowered by Rs 209 in Bihar, the 19 Kg cylinder is still above Rs 3,000 mark to Rs 3,018 per cylinder in August 2026.

In the previous month, 19 Kg LPG prices were reduced for the first time in 2026 by Rs 173 to Rs 183.50 across major metro cities.

Among other major metro cities, the 19 Kg LPG price dropped by Rs 209 to Rs 2,872.50 per cylinder in Kolkata, while in Mumbai, the commercial cylinder rate plunged by Rs 194 to Rs 2,691.50 per cylinder. In Chennai, LPG is down by Rs 200 to Rs 2,906 per cylinder.

Apart from Delhi, the lowest cut in LPG rate of Rs 192 in August also took place in Gurgaon, taking the commercial cylinder price to Rs 2,755. A Rs 192 cut each was imposed on LPG rates in Jaipur and Lucknow to Rs 2,765.50 and Rs 2,860.50 per cylinder, respectively.

Furthermore, the second highest cut in 19 Kg LPG price was in Bhubaneswar by Rs 206.50 to Rs 2,908 per cylinder, followed by a Rs 206 cut in LPG sold in Hyderabad to Rs 2,985 per cylinder.

LPG prices were revised lower even after US WTI Crude oil price surged by nearly 23.5% in July 2026 to close the month around $85 per barrel and Brent Crude soared by nearly 23% to end the month near $88 per barrel. Oil prices are elevated.

14 Kg LPG Prices In India

On the other hand, 14.2 kg LPG prices remain unchanged for August 2026. That said, a 14.2 Kg LPG cylinder continues to be available at Rs 942 in Delhi, at Rs 968 in Kolkata, at Rs 941.50 in Mumbai, and at Rs 957.50 in Chennai.

The domestic LPG cylinders continue to be priced at Rs 950.50 in Gurgaon, at Rs 939.50 in Noida, at Rs 944.50 in Bengaluru, at Rs 968 in Bhubaneswar, at Rs 951.50 in Chandigarh, at Rs 994 in Hyderabad, at RS 945.50 in Jaipur, at Rs 979.50 in Lucknow and at Rs 951 in Thiruvananthapuram.

However, a 14.2 Kg LPG cylinder continues to be above Rs 1,000 in Bihar at Rs 1,031.50 per cylinder.

Indane LPG is sold and delivered in eight different pack sizes. The 5 kg and 14.2 kg cylinders are largely meant for domestic use and comprise almost 90% of all gas distributed, while the 19 kg, 47.5 kg and 425 kg Jumbo cylinders are marketed for industrial and commercial consumption. The recently launched 5 kg and 10 kg cylinders made of fiber composite with a trendy and translucent look are the latest addition to the domestic category, as per Indian Oil website.
