How to apply for a passport in Jammu and Kashmir
1. Register on the Passport Seva portal (passportindia.gov.in) or the mPassport Seva app.
2. Fill in the form, choose Normal or Tatkaal, and pay the fee online.
3. Book a slot at the Jammu or Srinagar PSK, or any eligible POPSK in Jammu and Kashmir.
4. Visit on the appointment day with original documents and self-attested copies.
5. Complete police verification when the local police contact you.
6. Track your status online. The passport arrives by Speed Post.
