Diesel Prices Reach Rs 74.73 per Liter In Hyderabad

The prices of diesel is rising on a daily basis for the last couple of days. The rise in the price of crude oil in the global market is the main reason behind the upsurge in the prices of diesel in India.

India imports 80% of the fuel to meet the domestic requirements. Any rise or fall in the prices of the fuel in the global market will have a corresponding effect in the price of fuel in the domestic market.

The prices of diesel in Hyderabad is in line with most of the other cities in India. As the city is highly dependent on the modes of road transportation, the rise in the prices will impact the costs incurred by the transport companies which will ultimately have to be borne by the final consumers.

Today’s diesel prices in Hyderabad stands at Rs 74.73 per liter, up by Re 0.24 paise from the previous price.

Diesel Prices Hit Record High In Hyderabad

The price of diesel per liter is recorded at Rs 74.28 as on May 23, 2018, up by Rs 0.28 from the previous day’s price. The prices of petrol and diesel are increasing every day from the past few weeks, which has hurt the customer's sentiments.

India mainly depends on the imports of crude oil. About 80% of the crude oil is imported from abroad for domestic consumption. The rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market will simultaneously affect the prices in India.

Recently, the U.S. President had pulled out of the U.S.-Iran Nuclear Deal which led to the upsurge in the prices of oil in the global markets. The Brent oil in the U.S. hit an all-time high and touched $80 per barrel, which led to the rallying of the prices of petrol and diesel across the globe.
