On the second week and fourth week of Saturday, it is a bank holiday, and all banks including YES Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank, Vijaya Bank and Corporation Bank will remain closed as per the guidelines of the Central Government of India.

Mahavir Jayanti: It is one of the most important religious festivals for Jains. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the twenty-fourth and last Tirthankara of Avasarpini. As per the Gregorian Calendar, the holiday occurs either in March or during April. On this day all the banks in the country will remain closed.

Good Friday: It is a Christian holiday, which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death in Calvary. It is also known as Holy Friday or Black Friday. It is a national holiday and all the banks will remain closed.

Parashurama Jayanti: The day will be dedicated to Parashuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Parashurama Jayanti will be celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha. As per the mythological texts, Lord Parshurama was born on Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya to King Prasenjit's daughter – Renuka, and Sage Jamadagni of the Bhrigu dynasty. He was the fifth son of his parents. He had four elder brothers named Rumanvant, Sushen, Vishwa, and Vishwavasu.

Devotees observe fast from the night before the day of Parashuram Jayanti. They visit temples and offer their prayers to Lord Vishnu.

They will stay awake during the night and recite Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram to appease Lord Vishnu. On this day, donating food to Brahmins is considered very auspicious. Any auspicious work done on this day is believed to yield fruitful results.

Eid-al-Fitr: Eid-al-Fitr in Arabic means the – festival of breaking the fast. The fast that is kept throughout the Ramadan month is broken with special prayers and festivities. Fitr is derived from the word ‘fatar’ which means breaking. According to another connotation, it is derived from the word fitrah meaning alms. It is celebrated on the first day of the new moon in Shawwal month. It marks the end of the Ramadan period. On the morning of Id-ul-Fitr Gujarat people take a bath and dress up in new clothes and have dates or some other sweets before walking to the mosque for Eid prayers. During Eid-al-Fitr in Gujarat, men wear white clothes mostly kurtas and pyjama because white according to Islamic traditions, the colour white symbolizes purity and austerity. On this day, according to the Quran, Allah has intended a dole for every Muslim who is free and is in possession of alms-worthy capital. These alms are distributed among the poor ones by the more prosperous Muslims.

In Gujarat, Chitra Vichitra Fair will be held in April. The fair is named after the sons of King Shantanu, Chitravirya, and Vichitravirya. It is one of the famous festivals in Gujarat. The festival is celebrated after Holi, and a large number of locals and tourists from across the country attend the fair.

The tribal fair, Chitra Vichitra is celebrated in Gunbhakhari Village, Sabarkanta district of Gujarat. Bhils ans Garasia tribes residing in the nearby areas attend in large numbers. The magnificent temple overlooking the rivers of Sabarmati, Akul, and Vyakul is the main attraction of the fair.
