Eid-ul-Zuha: Eid–ul-Adha is also called Bakrid. The day is celebrated to honour Prophet Abraham. It is believed that Abraham was a great devotee of God and he was tested for the same. He was asked to sacrifice his only son. Abraham or Ibrahim followed the command of God and was ready to sacrifice his son. Later, God intervened and during the act, a lamb was sacrificed instead of Ibrahim’s son. The day is marked by sacrificing an animal or lamb and is divided into three parts. One share is kept for the family and the remaining will be shared with the poor and needy people.
