MRUPEE wallet will allow cashless payments simpler as consumers can now pay for their fuel bills by generating an OTP via the mRUPEE app, which is checked by a POS machine at the HPCL petrol pump.

Process to use mRUPEE at HPCL petrol pumps

  • Visit your nearest HPCL Fuel Pump and refill your bike
  • Now launch your mRupee app and generate the OTP by tapping on the OTP icon on the top right of the home screen.
  • Now enter your registered mobile number and the OTP received through SMS into the POS machine 
  • Once the OTP is verified your transaction will complete and you are done.  

How to download mRupee App

mRupee is accessible on the smartphone supported by IOS or Android. Download the mobile app or go to the Web and make some merchant transaction to activate your mrupee account. After the successful registration, the user will receive an SMS / Email on their email Id to update their default PIN. What is the meaning of Semi Closed wallet?

Within 2 working days, MMPL (MMP Mobi Wallet Payment Systems Limited ) will build Semi-Closed Wallet (SCW) for the customer. For the two defined user KYC profiles, RBI limitations for Semi-Closed Wallet apply in Load and Transactions and can differ from time to time depending on the RBI guidelines. 

Present acceptable limitations are listed below:

KYC Semi-Closed Wallet: Transaction Limit- Rs 10,000 per transaction and Rs 10,000 in a month (including applicable charges, if any) 

Transaction Limit for Full KYC Semi Closed Wallet: Rs 1,00,000 per transaction (including applicable charges if any)

mRupee Mobile Money Order

Limits of mRupee Mobile Money Order

It is recommended to know about the below-listed limits of mRupee Mobile Money Order, before using it.

  • The monthly transactions limit per sender is Rs 25,000
  • Per transaction limit per sender is Rs 5000

Applicable fees for mRupee Mobile Money Order

Below listed are the applicable charges for mRupee Mobile Money Order according to the transaction amount inclusive of Service tax.

  • For transaction up to Rs 5: Rs. 5
  • Transaction amount from Rs. 6 to Rs. 1000: Rs 20
  • Transaction amount from Rs. 1001.01 to Rs.

    5000: 2% of the amount

  • Transaction amount from Rs. 5000.01 to Rs. 10000: Rs 100
  • Transaction amount from Rs. 10000.01 to Rs. 15000: 1.05% of the amount
  • Transaction amount from Rs. 15000.01 to Rs. 20000: 1.05% of the amount
  • Transaction amount from Rs. 20000.01 to Rs. 25000: 1.05% of the amount

Process to register mRupee Mobile Money Order

  • Contact the nearest mRupee store at which mRupee agents are authorized to help you execute the enrollment process. For this, you have to provide your identification details such as name, address, mobile number etc.
  • To send money to the beneficiary, you must include the receiver information such as their bank account number, IFSC bank code, name etc. 
  • Once the transfer request is triggered you will receive a One Time Code on your registered mobile number via SMS. Submit the code to the agent and add the details of the recipient for reference purposes.
  • Handover the deposit money to the agent that you want to transfer along with the applicable charges. after that you will receive another OTC which you need to submit to the mRupee agent.
  • The mRupee agent will add the same in the transaction processing system, after that you will get a successful message on your registered mobile number regarding the same.

Dos and Don'ts while using mRupee Mobile Money Order

Below advised are some core points for what you should and should not do while using mRupee Mobile Money Order

Dos

  • Before making the payment please make sure that the bank details and ifsc code of the beneficiary are correct
  • In case of lost or stolen of your mobile phone, please get in touch with the customer care immediately
  • View the SMS confirmation of the transaction to make sure it's right. 
  • If you do not get a confirmation SMS, contact customer service within 15 minutes of the transaction.
  • To make multiple transactions to the same beneficiary of the same amount please wair for 15 minutes before initiating
  • Before initiating any payment please check for any fee transaction displayed in the stores of mRupee agent.
  • If face any fraud by mRupee agent please get in touch with the customer care service immediately
  • Verify the amount of the transaction and details of the recipient received by SMS. If the specifics are inaccurate then please do not share the One Time Code (OTC) and notify the mRupee agent for verifying. Once the OTC has been shared all information related to the transaction will be presumed to be accurate and accepted by the customer.

Terms & Conditions of mRUPEE Mobile Money Order

MMP Mobi Wallet Payment Systems Pvt Ltd, serving as Correspondent for business  (BC) ICICI Bank offers cash remittance services, classified as mRupee Mobile Money Order, to customers that comply to the applicable RBI regulations. The sender needs to have a working mobile number in his / her name of any Indian Telecom Operator for the "mRUPEE Mobile Money Order". 

  • This service is for domestic remittance in Indian rupees only within India
  • The beneficiary must have an active and legitimate account with any bank across India
  • The money transfer is handled out by authorised agents of the BC via its stores.  Such approved BC agents are to display mRUPEE service and ICICI Bank logos in their outlets.
