The government of India has taken up the drive to link individuals mobile number with Aadhar card to help individuals to get the benefits of government-run social welfare schemes. The users of BSNL also have to get their phone numbers re-verified with Aadhar number.

Procedure to link BSNL Number with Aadhar via Offline Method

The users of BSNL numbers has to follow the below-mentioned steps to link their numbers with Aadhaar:

Step 1: Visit the nearest BSNL office in your area along with a self – attested copy of Aadhar card number and BSNL SIM.

Step 2: Inform the BSNL executives about the linking of your number with aadhaar.

Step 3: Provide all the details to the BSNL executive.

Step 4: A 4 digit OTP will be sent to your BSNL number.

Step 5: Provide the details of OTP to the executive.

Step 6: Proceeding further provide your Aadhaar number.

Step 7: Provide your fingerprints (biometric details).

Step 8: You will receive a message on your BSNL mobile number within 24 hours.

Step 9: Reply with “Y” to complete the e-KYC procedure. You will be receiving a confirmation message after completion of the successful verification process.

Procedure to link Aadhaar Number and BSNL via IVR

The following is the procedure to link Aadhar number with BSNL mobile number:

Step 1: Dial the BSNL’s toll-free number from your mobile.

Step 2: Follow the IVR instructions carefully.

Step 3: Select the option which says “Link Aadhaar number and confirm”.

Step 4: Enter your unique 12 – digit Aadhar number and confirm.

Step 5: Your aadhar will be linked to BSNL mobile number once you receive a confirmation message of successful verification of aadhar with BSNL number.

Procedure to link BSNL Number with Aadhar via OTP

Step 1: Call the toll-free number – 14546 from your BSNL mobile number which is required to be linked with Aadhar.

Step 2: The IVR will provide the user with two options to check if they are resident citizens of India or NRIs (Non Resident Indians). Select the appropriate option and proceed further.

Step 3: If the customer selects Option 1, then the procedure will allow you the customer service professional to verify if your BSNL number has been linked with Aadhar.

Step 4: Moving on enter your 12 digit aadhaar number and enter the option 1 on your mobile phone to confirm.

Step 5: Now, the BSNL will generate an OTP which will be sent to your mobile number with which you are calling on.

Step 6: Authorize the customer care professional who is attending you to access your name, date of birth, photo from the database of the UIDAI.

Step 7: IVR will call inform you the last 4 digits of your BSNL mobile number.

Step 8: If these four digit numbers are correct, then you need to enter the OTP received by you to confirm its accuracy.

Step 9: Press ‘0’ on your mobile phone, if you do not have multiple BSNL mobile numbers that you are willing to link with aadhar number or else press option 1, to enable BSNL to proceed towards the aadhar verification process.

Step 10: A message will be sent to your BSNL mobile number to confirm the successful linking of aadhar with BSNL number.

Procedure to check if your BSNL Mobile Number is linked with Aadhar Card

The following are the list of steps involved in linking your BSNL mobile number with Aadhar Card:

Step 1: Visit the official web portal of BSNL.

Step 2: Enter your 10 digit BSNL mobile number.

Step 3: Proceeding further, enter your 12 digit unique Aadhaar number.

Step 4: After entering the captcha code and submitting the same, you will receive a status request which will be displayed on the screen.
