Linking of Aadhar Card details with IRCTC Account helps travellers to easily book more e-tickets every month and users can book up to 12 e-tickets in a month.
The users should get themselves verified through their aadhar number along with at least one passenger’s aadhar verification to book the rail tickets. The procedure to link aadhar card details with IRCTC is simple and easy and can be done successfully by following few steps via online.
Please Note: For booking of up to 6 railway tickets in a month, no aadhar verification is required and the existing facility to book up to 6 railway tickets without aadhar card details in a month continues.
Step 1: Visit the IRCTC website
Step 2: Login to the IRCTC website using the username and password
Step 3: Proceeding further choose the ‘My Profile’ and select ‘Aadhaar KYC’
Step 4: Enter your Aadhar card details and request for OTP.
Step 5: Now an OTP will be sent to your aadhar registered mobile number.
Step 6: Enter the OTP details in the given space and select the 'Verify' option.
Step 7: Click on submit button to verify KYC details.
Step 8: After the verification of information, the aadhar linking with IRCTC will be completed.
One can add a new passenger with aadhar card number to the existing IRCTC account and can be done via the online process within few minutes. OTP verification is not required for the addition of new passenger, but aadhar details are required only for verifying the access.
One should follow the below-mentioned steps to add new passenger with aadhar card to IRCTC:
Step 1: Visit the web portal of IRCTC.
Step 2: Enter your username and password to log in.
Step 3: Choose the ‘Master List’ in the profile menu.
Step 4: Now fill in the new passenger information including name, gender, age, aadhar number and so on. (All the details should be as mentioned in the Aadhar card)
Step 5: Proceed further and choose ‘Submit’ option.
Step 6: Now all the saved details will be in the Master list and it will reflect in the list of passengers.
Step 7: Until the completion of verification, the status of the new passenger will be displayed as pending.
Step 8: Post successful verification process, the status will reflect as verified. If not, then again choose the link above the master list to edit the passenger details and update it for further verification.
