Step 1: Click on the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: You can either select Aadhar Number(UID) or Enrolment Number(EID).


Step 3: Write your correct information in the form, that is the Full Name, e-mail address and Mobile Number.
Step 4: Enter the security code which is displayed on the screen.


Step 5: Click on the OTP button, now you will get an OTP on your mobile number/email address.
Step 6: Type the OTP which you have received on your registered mobile number.
Step 7: Click on the “Verify OTP” button.
Step 8: Then, you will receive a message on your number which contains Your Aadhar Enrollment Number.
Step 9: After getting your Aadhar number you can visit a UIDAI official website for generating your Aadhar as a PDF file.
Step 10: You have to select either Aadhar Number(UID) /Enrollment ID(EID).
Step 11: Type your Aadhar number or Enrollment ID, Name, Pin Code, Mobile Number, Security text as displayed on the tab.
Step 12: The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 13: Type the OTP which you have received on your mobile number in the “Enter OTP” tab
Step 14: Click on “Validate and Generate”
Step 15: Then your Aadhar will be validated and generated in the form of a PDF File.

Procedure to Get Duplicate e-Aadhar Card via Offline Method

The people who prefer to get a duplicate copy of Aadhar Card through an offline method. They can get duplicate Aadhar by either visiting the Aadhar Enrollment Centre or by calling 1947 toll-free number. Below are a few steps to be followed by the person to get Aadhar card through the offline method:

Step 1: Contact UIDAI' s toll-free number 1947 or 1800-180-1947
Step 2: Talk to the aadhar executive through Interactive Voice Response(IVR) option.
Step 3: Request the aadhar executive to get a duplicate copy of your Aadhar Card.


Step 4: Some questions will be asked by the aadhar executive for verification of your identity.
Step 5: After the verification process the aadhar executive will accept your request and will initiate the process.
Step 6: You will get your duplicate Aadhar card by the post.

How to Get Duplicate Aadhar Card by Visiting an Aadhar Enrollment Centre

You can visit nearby Aadhar Enrollment Centre and get duplicate Aadhar by placing a requesting for issue of duplicate aadhar card. One has to follow the below-mentioned procedure to get a duplicate Aadhar:

Step 1: Go to the nearby Aadhar Enrollment Centre.
Step 2: Complete the Aadhar Correction Form by filling in the Aadhar Correction form.
Step 3: You can request the Aadhar Executive or Aadhar Registrar to issue a duplicate Aadhar Card if you know your Aadhaar Number properly.
Step 4: If you do not know the Aadhar Number, you can place a request to the Aadhar Executive and then the executive will verify your biometrics.
Step 5: After the successful process of verification by the Aadhar Executive, your Aadhar will be sent to your residential address.

Reprinting Aadhaar Card in Case of Loss of Aadhaar and Mobile Number is not Linked/Registered

If in case an Aadhaar cardholder loses his or her Aadhar card and their respective mobile number is not registered or linked with Aadhaar card, then they can follow the below-mentioned steps to get it reprinted.

Step 1: First visit the official web portal of UIDAI.
Step 2: Next click on the link which states ‘Order Aadhaar Reprint’ which is found under the Get Aadhaar option.
Step 3: In this page, you will find the option, ‘My Mobile number is not registered’. Check this option and enter your mobile number in the given space and click on Send OTP option or Enter TOTP


Step 4: If you choose ‘Send OTP’ option, then an OTP will be sent to the mobile number on which you prefer to receive the one – time password (OTP) and a message will be displayed on the screen which states than an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Now enter the OTP number which you have received and also tick on the checkbox agreeing to the said Terms and Conditions.
Step 6: Proceed further, now you will be redirected to a new page, wherein two options will appear side by side. The first one reads ‘Verify your Aadhaar Details’ and the second one reads ‘Preview Aadhaar Letter’. The second option which says Preview Aadhaar Letter will not be available to those whose mobile number is still not registered with the UIDAI.


Step 7: You can proceed now and reprint the Aadhaar card. But the individual will have to bear a cost of Rs 50 which included speed post and GST charges for conducting this transaction and they have to select the payment mode for the same. One can choose from the available list of payment options which includes UPI, Net Banking, Cards (Debit or Credit).
Step 8: Now download and save the acknowledgement slip which will have your SRN (service request number).
Step 9: Post successful payment, your aadhaar card will be reprinted and will be sent via speed post to the mentioned address in the Aadhaar card within 15 days.
