Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI.
Step 2: Check for Aadhaar Enrollment Section under the Aadhaar Online Services, click on ‘Check Aadhaar Status’ option. One can even visit the page directly by clicking on the link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status.


Step 3: Enter the enrollment ID, date and the time of enrollment, security cloud and follow this by clicking on check status account.
Step 4: If your aadhar is generated, then you will be receiving a message about the same and options to download the e-aadhar online or the message will be received on your registered mobile number.


Step 5: If you want to download e-aadhaar, click on the Download Aadhaar option.
Step 6: If in case, you want to get the Aadhaar on mobile, select the option Get Aadhaar on Mobile.

Aadhar Card Check Status without Enrollment Number

If you have forgotten your enrollment number or have misplaced your acknowledgement slip, one can find your respective enrollment number and then check the aadhar card status with enrollment number. The procedure for aadhar card status checking without enrollment number is given below:

Step 1: Visit the site https://goo.gl/hSo8WC to retrieve the enrollment number
Step 2: Select either UID (Aadhar) or EID option and retrieve your aadhar details
Step 3: Enter your name, mobile number, e-mail, security code to send an OTP to your registered mobile number
Step 4: Enter the OTP details in the given space provided and click on the verify OTP option
Step 5: After verification, your enrollment number or aadhaar number will be sent to the e-mail ID and mobile number of the applicant.
Step 6: Use the enrollment number, check the status of Aadhaar.

Aadhar Card Check Status Using Update Request Number (URN)

One can check for aadhar card status either via online or offline mode. The applicants can even check the status by dialling up inquiry phone number 1947 to check out if their aadhar is generated or not.

Once the enrollment procedure is completed, the applicants can follow the steps as mentioned below to check the aadhar card status using URN.

Step 1: Visit the UIDAI’s official website page https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/check-status
Step 2: Enter the Update Request Number and aadhaar number
Step 3: Enter the security code and click on the ‘Get Status’ button
Step 4: You will get the aadhar card status
Step 5: If your aadhar is updated, then you can download e-aadhar and take a print of the same

Aadhar Card Check Status without Acknowledgment/Enrollment Details

Once the verification process is completed successfully, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement slip. If you have either lost the slip or misplaced it or damaged, one can still track the aadhar card status by following the below mentioned procedure:

Step 1: Visit the official web page of UIDAI
Step 2: Click on the ‘Aadhaar Services’ link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/web/resident/find-uid-eid and visit the page directly
Step 3: Select the option ‘Find UID/EID’
Step 4: You can see the option to find his lost aadhaar number or lost enrollment number.
Step 5: Enter all the required details including full name, registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 6: Enter the security code which appears onscreen to proceed further.
Step 7: Click on the ‘Get OTP’ button.
Step 8: The OTP can either be received on the registered mobile number or on the e-mail id.

Now enter the received OTP in the specified field.
Step 9: Click on ‘Verify OTP’ option.
Step 10: After the successful verification, the aadhaar enrollment number will be sent either to the registered mobile number or to the email id of the applicant.

Aadhar Card Check Status By Name

When an individual applies for Aadhar card, one gets an acknowledgement slip that contains an enrollment id. This enrollment id can be used to track the status of the aadhar card generation. If you are applying for updating details in aadhar card, you will receive an update request number after successfully submitting the application. The update request number can also be used to track the aadhar card status update.

Aadhar Card Check Status using Mobile Number

Individuals who are checking for aadhar card status using mobile number will have to follow the below-mentioned steps using his or her mobile number.

Step 1: Type the following in message section SMS “UID STATUS” , send it to 51969.
Step 2: If Aadhar has been generating, then the applicant will receive an SMS which will show his or her aadhar number
Step 3: If the message is not received, then an SMS will be sent to the individual which will state the current aadhar card status.

Aadhar Card Check Status via India Post

After generation of aadhaar number and dispatching of the same by the UIDAI, the aadhaar card will be sent to the residential address of the applicant via India post, it will take within 60 – 90 days approximately to reach the applicant. One can track the Aadhar card online via India Post by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Visit India Post’s official website.
Step 2: Enter the consignment details which you can see from the Aadhaar website using the acknowledgement slip.
Step 3: All the details related to Aadhaar consignment will get displayed on the screen.

Note: The applicant can also check the delivery status of the Aadhar by tracking his aadhaar number at any of the nearby post office branches.

Tracking Aadhar Address Validation Letter Status via Service Request Number (SRN)

If an aadhar applicant has requested for an Address Validation Letter, then you would have received a Service Request Number (SRN). The following are the steps involved to track the address validation letter status on the Aadhaar Self Service Portal:

Step 1: Visit the official web portal of UIDAI
Step 2: Now move your cursor on ‘My Aadhaar’ option on the web site.
Step 3: Select the option ‘Check Address Update Status’
Step 4: This will open a new window, now enter your 12 digit Aadhar card number followed by the Service Request Number.
Step 5: Proceed further by entering the Captcha Verification code and enter the button “Check Status”.
Step 6: All the details related to Aadhar Address Validation will be displayed on the screen.

Steps for Phone/Mobile Number Verification via Online Method

The aadhar card status can be checked via using the mobile number of the applicant. The mobile number should be verified first before checking the status.

Step 1: Visit the official web site of UIDAI.
Step 2: Select the option ‘Aadhaar Services’ which displays a link to the ‘Enrollment/Download e-Aadhaar Update’
Step 3: Proceeding further the applicant will be automatically redirected to the Aadhar Kiosk
Step 4: You will find various options including Aadhaar enrollment, updating of Aadhaar and status check.
Step 5: Click on the option which reads ‘Verify E-mail/Mobile’ option which appears on the right side of the page.
Step 6: The applicant will now get automatically redirected to a particular page wherein he or she will be asked to verify the mobile number.
Step 7: Proceeding further type in the 12 digit aadhar number and either your mobile number or e-mail ID.
Step 8: A security code will flash on the screen. Enter the code and click on the option ‘Generate Verification Code’.
Step 9: A verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the verification code on the site and proceed further.
Step 10: Now click on the verify option which appears on the bottom of the screen to complete the verification process.
