How to Download PAN Correction Form Through NSDL Portal

  • Go to the official website of NSDL
  • Under the drop-down box of download select PAN
  • Now click on Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data Form
  • Now you will be redirected to the new page where you see PAN Correction Form in pdf format.
  • Download the pdf format of the Form and take a printout of it if you want to change your PAN details through offline process.

How to Download PAN Correction Form Through UTIITSL Portal

  • Go to the official site of UTIITSL.
  • Click on PAN Services.
  • Now click on Change/Correction in PAN Card
  • Now click on Download blank Change/Correction Request Form (pdf).
  • Now you will be redirected to the new page where you see PAN Correction Form in pdf format.
  • Download the pdf format of the Form and take a printout of it if you want to change your PAN details through offline process

Correction of PAN Card Online

It is a simpler method that doesn't enable the applicant for any kind physical documentation. Online PAN Card correction is the highly used procedure in order to make corrections in your PAN Card. If you are willing to change your PAN Database via online here are the step by step guide to successfully overcome the errors of your PAN Card details.

Through NSDL Portal

  • Go the official NSDL website click on the drop-down box under application type and select Changes and Correction in existing PAN Data / Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in existing PAN Data).
  • Now mention your all mandate personal details as per your documents, enter the captcha code and click on submit.
  • In the next page, you have to submit your PAN documents which can be done through e-KYC as per your Aadhar Card details. Scan your needed documents and submit the images of your documents through the e-sign method.
  • Mention your all documents name that has been submitted and mention your personal details on the require field and click on submit to proceed further.
  • Now the payment gateway page will appear, for PAN card correction an amount of Rs 107 is required for Indian citizens and Rs 994 for overseas citizens.
  • Payment can be done through Cheque or DD in favour of NSDL or you can also pay the amount through credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Enter your payment details and click on submit. Once the payment is done a new page will appear displaying your successful transaction details.
  • Now you will ask to verify your Aadhar Card click the tick box and click on authenticate to proceed further.
  • Once the authentication is completed click on Continue with e-Sign/e-KYC to generate the OTP.
  • Enter the OTP that has come to your registered mobile number and click on submit.
  • After submitting the Aadhar details now you will see a new page in which you can review your submitted application form. Check it thoroughly and download the pdf format.
  • Once the verification is completed your PAN card will be sent to your given address within 15 working days.

Through UTIITSL Portal

  • Go to the official UTIITSL portal and click on PAN card services.
  • On the new page click on Change/Correction in PAN Card.
  • Now click on Apply for Change/Correction in PAN Card details
  • Now you have to mention your all mandate personal details in the CSF Form.
  • An applicant is required to fill all the mandate personal details and if he/she wants to make any changes or correction in any particular detail they need to tick on the red box. This tick mark enables the applicant for applying the changes/correction in the PAN card.
  • Applicants who are using digital signature method have to submit their scanned documents and images through the e-sign method.
  • Mention your all documents name that has been submitted and mention your personal details on the require field and click on submit to proceed further.
  • Now the payment gateway page will appear, for PAN card correction an amount of Rs 107 is required for Indians and Rs 994 for overseas citizens.

  • Applicants who are not using digital signature method have to submit their form with affix of all the needed documents and 2 recent passport size colour photograph in the nearest UTIITSL office.

Offline PAN Card Correction

  • For making the correction or changes in the existing PAN Card applicant have to download the CSF PAN Form from UTI centre.
  • Fill the Form with your personal mandate details which are relevant to your documents and submit the form along with the documents and photograph at the nearest UTIITSL or NSDL office.
  • Make the payment of Rs 107 and the new PAN Card will be sent to your given resident address within 15 working days.

Points to Keep in Mind While Filling the Form for Correction of PAN Card

  • For correction in PAN database or request for reissue of PAN Card, the applicant is mandated to apply in Request for new PAN card Or/And changes in PAN data form which is different from the Form 49A and Form 49AA.
  • Fill-out all the details in the mandatory fields of the Form for the changes or correction of PAN data and select the corresponding box on left margin where corrections are needed if it is necessary.
  • If you want to reissue a new PAN card without any changes then fill all the fields of the Form but not select any box on left margin.
  • In order to Change or Correction of PAN data or reissue of new PAN card, the address for communication will be updated in the ITD (Income Tax Department) database by using the address provided by the applicant in the application Form.
  • In order to change or correct the mistake of your PAN details, the original PAN will remain the same and you will be issued a new PAN card with the correct database.
  • For cancellation of duplicate PAN, all fields are obligatory to fill up in the Form. PAN details must be mentioned in the appropriate column of the Form which you are willing to change and select the checkbox on the left margin.

Instructions for Filling the Form for Changes or Correction in PAN Card

  • Form to be filled in BLOCK LETTERS and by black ink only.
  • Mention your ten-digit PAN number correctly on the required place.
  • Affix photograph must have a size of 3.5cm*2.5cm
  • The photograph shouldn't be stapled or clipped
  • The signature or left thumb impression must be given across the affixed photo in such a manner that the portion of signature or thumb impression is on photo as well as the Form also.
  • Signature or Left thumb impression must be provided within the box on the left side of the Form.
  • The signature should not be on the photograph affixed on the right side of the Form.
  • In case of thumb impression, it must be attested by a Gazetted Officer or Magistrate under official seal and stamp.
  • For changes or correction in PAN Card applicant must fill all the details in the Form as well as tick-box on the left margin in appropriate row where the correction is required.
  • Provide correct AO code in the application if necessary.
  • Write a complete postal address in the application with a proper landmark.
  • Mention correct Pin-code in the address field.
  • Mention your correct phone number and e-mail address to generate OTP as well as to track your PAN Card status.

Things Not to Do While Filling the Form for Correction of PAN Card

  • Do not make any overwriting or correction in the Form.
  • The photograph should not be stapled or clipped.
  • Do not sign outside the box.
  • Do not apply for new PAN if you already have one.
  • Do not ratify in the first name and last name field.
  • Do not give additional details like a birthmark, designation etc
  • Do not provide POI, POA and PODB which are not in the name of the applicant.
