Lost of PAN Card

The applicant can simply apply for a reprint of a new PAN Card if he/she has lost or damaged the existing PAN Card or to have another copy of it. The Income Tax Department grants PAN Cards via UTI or NSDL portal. Based on which portal has granted your PAN Card, both of the portals are approached to get a reprint of the card in case of any lost. The Income Tax Department provides a simple and hassle-free process for the reprint of PAN Card through NSDL and UTIITSL portal

Lost PAN Card Apply

The applicant who are willing to apply for reprint of PAN Card in case of lost or damage, scroll down and get step by step tutorial for online and offline process. However, an FIR is to be submitted in the nearest Police Station in-case of lost of PAN Card (FIR is not mandated for the applicants).

Lost PAN Card Apply Through NSDL

Go to the official site of NSDL portal
Under the drop-down box of services click on PAN
Under the Reprint of PAN Card section PAN applicants can now apply online for Reprint of PAN card (only when there is no change required in data) by clicking here, is mentioned.
Click on where it is suggested and you will be redirected to the next page.
Now you will see a page displaying Request for Reprint of PAN Card. This facility is only applicable in case of PAN Card lost or when there is no change required in the PAN Data.
On Request for Reprint of PAN Card page mention your existing PAN Card number, Aadhar Number, Date of Birth as per your Aadhar Card.
After this enter GSTIN number if require
Read the disclaimer carefully and click on the box for accepting it.
Read the Captcha Code carefully, enter the same on the required box and click on submit.
A successful message will be delivered to your registered mobile number and email and the PAN Card will be dispatched to the communication address as per the latest details available with the Income Tax Department.

Lost PAN Card Apply Via UTI

Go to the official site of UTIITSL
Under the drop-down box of services which is located in the top bar of the page click on PAN Card.
Now under the drop-down box of PAN Card click on Apply Now.
Now you will see a page displaying Welcome to UTIITSL's PAN Online Portal
Now click on Reprint of PAN Card (for PAN Card dispatched cases)
Applicants have to keep in mind that the facility is available for the individuals only if they have submitted their latest picture and signature to UTIITSL with their application.

Now click on Reprint of PAN Card.
Now you will see a page displaying Facility for Reprint of PAN Card.
On Facility for Reprint of PAN Card page mention your existing PAN Card number, Aadhar Number, Date of Birth as per your Aadhar Card.
After this enter GSTIN number if require
Read the Captcha Code carefully, enter the same on the required box and click on submit.
A successful message will be delivered to your registered mobile number and email and the PAN Card will be dispatched to the communication address as per the latest details available with the Income Tax Department.

Lost PAN Card Apply Offline

In case of PAN Card lost applicants are suggested to download “Request for New PAN Changes or Correction in PAN Data” form which is available in NSDL or UTIITSL portal. Get step by step guide on how to download the form by clicking here.
Now applicants have to mention all personal and mandated details
Applicants are suggested that Do not submit the application for New PAN Card in case of lost, it is illegal.
In case of lost PAN Card complete the form with the old PAN provided at the beginning of the application.

Signature and left thumb impression are mandated to provide by the applicant.
Now after mentioning all the details review it and submit the application form along with the applicable charges at the nearest NSDL or UTI office.

Documents Need for Reprint of PAN Card

Only PAN Card number or copy of PAN Card is required by the applicant at the time of Reprint of PAN Card.
Copy of intimation letter issued by the Income Tax Department
In case of above documents are not available a copy of FIR (stating loss of PAN card) can be submitted.

For dispatch of PAN card outside India(inclusive of taxes) - Rs 959.00

Instructions while Applying for Reprint of PAN Card

All details are to be filled in English only.
Fields marked by asterisk ( * ) are mandated to be filled by the applicant.
PAN Number should be mentioned correctly.

Do's

Only use form Request for New PAN Changes or Correction in PAN Data for the reprint of PAN card or for making changes/correction in PAN data.
Do provide the signature within the box.

Do mention correct PAN.
In case of thumb impression get the thumb impression attested by Magistrate or a Notary Public or a Gazetted Officer, under official seal and stamp.
Apply the application form in BLOCK LETTER and English Only
Must use Black Ink at the time of filling the application form.
Recent passport size photographs must have a (size of size 3.5cm x 2.5cm)
At the time of applying sure that the Name mentioned in application matches exactly with the name mentioned Aadhar or PAN card.
Mention the complete address along with the proper landmark.
Must provide the correct Pin code.
Must provide a mobile number and email id as per your Aadhar database.
Must attach proof of PAN along with the application at the time of offline mode.

Don'ts

Do not overwrite or make any corrections in the application form.
Do not pin or staple the photograph in the application form.
Do not sign outside the box.
Do not Proof of identity or proof of address which are not in the name of the applicant.
Do not mention any additional details in the form like a birthmark, designation, marks of college or school.
Do not write the Husband's name in the Father's Name column.
